On August 21 on final day of Czech tour “Ugra” sledge hockey players competed with the team of Pardubice city (Czech Republic). In the first period our guys showed interesting attacking hockey, created potentially dangerous moments near the opponent’s net but they distinguished themselves only once. Defenseman VasiliyVarlakov made one goal after NikolayChukhontsev’s pass.

On August 20 sledge hockey players of “Ugra” will play with club team of Czech Republic “Sparta”. In the first period 8 minutes after the beginning Czech players opened the score. But substantially immediately Ugra players managed to come back. AleksandrChalin made a goal to the opponents after NikolayTerentiev’s pass.

Yesterday on August 17 sledge hockey club “Ugra” beat club team of “Zlin” from Czech Republic with the score 3:1. According to coaches during three periods the most part of the match took place in the opponent’s zone. Czech players also made dangerous moments but the actions of our sledge hockey players were more dangerous and quick.

Yesterday the President of Russia Vladimir Putin congratulated the athletes on excellent play at the Paralympic Games and presented them with national awards. Four Ugra players – Konstantin Shikhov, VasiliyVarlakov, Vladimir Litvinenko and the youngest Russian sledge hockey player NikolayTerentiev were among the champions and prize winners.
