On August 21 on final day of Czech tour “Ugra” sledge hockey players competed with the team of Pardubice city (Czech Republic). In the first period our guys showed interesting attacking hockey, created potentially dangerous moments near the opponent’s net but they distinguished themselves only once. Defenseman VasiliyVarlakov made one goal after NikolayChukhontsev’s pass. On August 21 on final day of Czech tour “Ugra” sledge hockey players competed with the team of Pardubice city (Czech Republic). In the first period our guys showed interesting attacking hockey, created potentially dangerous moments near the opponent’s net but they distinguished themselves only once. Defenseman VasiliyVarlakov made one goal after NikolayChukhontsev’s pass. In the second period Ugra players made five goals. NikolayTerentiev made hat trick. Konstantin Shikhov and Denis Batyuk made two goals. In the third period the team of AleksandrZykov kicked three goals. Two goals were made by the team captain Konstantin Shikhov after NikolayChukhontsev’s passes and the last ninth puck was kicked by Aleksey Petrov. According to the coaches the direction for the match was to make at least 10 goals. The guys performed the task for 90%. After the end of the game the teams made 16 penalty shootouts and “Ugra” won with the score 7:1. “I consider that successful friendly matches in Czech republic are good beginning for this season. – Eduard Isakov, president of sledge hockey club “Ugra”, comments. – Our players showed perfect combinative hockey in all matches. The coaches could evaluate the level of athletes training, see new-comers in the matches, mark both positive moments of the play of our guys and nuances which should be worked on.” It is to be recalled that friendly sledge hockey matches were held in Czech Republic from August 17 till August 21.
