Yesterday on December 16, 2012 within the Open International Tournament “Ugra Cup” among sledge hockey teams three games were held. In one of them Ugra sledge hockey players beat the team of Poland 8:0.

Yesterday on December 16, 2012 within the Open International Tournament “Ugra Cup” among sledge hockey teams three games were held. In one of them Ugra sledge hockey players beat the team of Poland 8:0.

In all games flawless victory was achieved. The team of Czech Republic defeated the team of Udmurtia 2:0. Slovakia players went down with the result 15:0 having lost the game with “Phoenix” from Moscow Region.

The game between the teams of Ugra and Poland was quiet and the fans of Ugra din not worry because during almost all three periods the action took place near the opponent’s net.

The first period was in wait for a puck but the goaltender of Polish team defended the net worthy and as a result the period was goalless.

During the second period the fortune was on the side of Ugra sledge hockey players. With the fans crying “Only Ugra and only the win!”, - “Ugra” became the leader with the score 6:0.

Ugra team won the third period. The second minute after the beginning of the period after the pass of Vasiliy Varlakov Mikhail Mokretsov kicked the puck to Polish team. Then in the 12^th minute after the beginning of the period Vasiliy Varlakov kicked the last puck. The gamed ended with the result 8:0.

In the words of Tomash Vozne, President of the integration sports club “Atak” from Poland the tournament is organized at high level. “We are glad to participate in the international tournament among sledge hockey clubs in Khanty-Mansiysk and appear on ice with strong teams within “Ugra Cup”. It would be nice if such competitions are held annually, our team would participate with pleasure next year. As for development of sledge hockey in Russia I consider that Russian team can count on a medal in coming Paralympics in Sochi.”

Today final games are held. At 19.00 Ugra team meets the team of Czech Republic. At 21.00 the solemn closing ceremony of the international tournament takes place.
