08.02.2013 International sledge hockey tournament in Italy

The team of Russia, the members of which are the athletes of the Sports Centre for the Disabled of Ugra Konstantin Shikhov and Vasiliy Varlakov, hold leading positions at the international tournament in Turin (Italy), which is held from February 5 to February 9, 2013.

Four teams from Japan, Czech Republic, Italy and Russia participate in this tournament.

On the first day of the competition on February 5 Russia played with Japan team and won 4:0. According to the results of game of Czech and tournament hosts’ team Italian hockey players lost 1:2.

On February 6 Russian team played the second match with the hockey players from Czech Republic and retained its champion title having beaten Czech team 2:0, one of the goal to the opponents was made by Konstantin Shikhv, sledge hockey player from Ugra. This day the team of Italy also beat Japan team 4:1.

In such way at the present time sledge hockey team of Russia lead the standings, Italian and Czech players have one win each and the team of Japan has two defeats according to the results of two days of the tournament.

On February 8 Russian team plays with Italy and Japan sledge hockey players meet the team of Czech Republic.
