“Ugra” will compete with national sledge hockey teams again  SHC “Ugra” will take part in the international tournament which will be held in the Czech Republic from November 14 till November 21. The national teams of Japan, Czech Republic and Sweden, the members of the group A of the Sledge Hockey World Championships held in the USA in May, 2015, will be the opponents of Ugra club. According to the chief coach of “Ugra” Aleksandr Zykov, participation in these competitions means purposeful training for the second stage of the Championships of Russia: “The task for the players is to practice the schemes we learn at the training. This is the level of national teams and it means that this is wide international experience for our club. The main thing is to find our own play before the final stage of the Championships of Russia and to regain the title of country’s champion.” As the member of the Federation Council, president of SHC “Ugra” Eduard Isakov notes the tournament in the Czech Republic is not only a friendly game. These are official rating competitions: “We participate in international competitions in order to make Russian sledge hockey more popular. Due to such competitions the players become more confident in their actions. Training is one thing and to show yourself in the game is another. After these competitions the team of the Czech Republic will return us the visit and take part in the “Ugra Cup” which will be held in Khanty-Mansiysk from November 28 till December 3”.
